May River Grace Cruise

Quick Details

Please join us to experience Grace, a one-hundred-ten year old wooden motor yacht, and one of the last of her kind still standing. Hear of her illustrious past and rich history spanning four names and seven different owners … including a former Trapeze artist, who lived on the boat while accompanying the floating theater barge which inspired the smash hit Broadway show, “Showboat.” Learn of her namesake, Grace, the younger sister of R.T. Wilson Jr, a wealthy NY banker who purchased and named Palmetto Bluff in 1902. Grace later married Cornelius Vanderbilt III, and was renowned for being the “Queen of the Golden Age.”

Hear about all of these stories and more, while cruising on the beautiful waterways of the May River and surrounding Bluffton and Hilton Head area. Grace departs from the Grace dock up to three days a week. She is available for both scheduled cruises and private charters.

On this two-hour excursion you’ll step back in time to learn all about the rich history of the Grace while enjoying hors d’oeuvres. Feel free to bring your own beverage of choice. Alcohol is permitted.
